Reiki

heavenly holistic imageReiki originated in Japan at the turn of the century and the word means 'universal life energy'. Reiki is based on the premise that illness is caused by a disruption in the body's energy field or life force. By using specially designed symbols and channeling energy, it is believed that the body can be filled with positive energy causing the disease-making negative energy to disappear.

How does it work?

Reiki heals by charging negatively affected parts of the energy field with positive energy. Energy fields in the body each have different vibratory levels and Reiki practitioners use their hands to affect and hopefully rebalance these vibrations in the negatively affected part of the body.

Benefits

  • Relieve the symptoms of anxiety
  • Relieve the symptoms of back pain
  • Relieve the symptoms of arthritis
  • Promotes a sense of relaxation and well being

Seichem

heavenly holistic imageSeichem is reputedly one of the healing arts practiced in Ancient Egypt. Reiki is a part of Seichem and represents the Earth element. The other elements of Air - Angeliclight, Water- Sophi-el and Fire - Sakara are all part of the Seichem energy and work to heal at different levels for the healee.

How does it work?

During a treatment the elemental healing rays are generally experienced by both healer and client. For example Reiki is felt as hot or cold, Sakara is felt as mild tingling, Soph-iel is gentle and is often felt as a pulsating coolness and Angelic light is experienced as a cool breeze.
The healing energy is channelled through the healers hands into parts of the clients body, helping to gently release any blockages and restore the body's natural balance. Blocks on physical, emotional, mental or spiritual levels can and do clear as a result of a treatment.

Raindrop Therapy

heavenly holistic imageRaindrop Therapy is a method of aromatherapy, involving the topical application of about nine essential oils which are the extracted essence of plants and herbs. The oils are dropped from approximately six inches above the body, evenly spaced along the spine from the sacrum to the neck and other various locations of the body. Specific massage techniques are combined with the application of the essential oils to bring structural, electrical alignment and balance to the body.

How does it work?

The general technique involves the following: the application of an essential oil blend to the feet, then oils are applied along the spine in this order: thyme, oregano, cypress, birch, basil, peppermint, marjoram and sometimes additional blends of oils as well as other single oils as one chooses. Each oil is lightly spread or brushed along the spine as it is applied, with light feather like motions, up the spine. After all oils have been applied, warm, moist heat is applied along the spine for about ten to twenty minutes, as tolerated. However, there are variations in the therapy application.
Essential oils are electrical. The oil molecules vibrate at frequencies that match those found in the body. Oils help the cells resonate at proper frequencies and restore stability. Essential oils possess many pharmacological properties such as antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic and antioxidant to name a few. Essential oils are capable of crossing the blood-brain barrier and they stimulate the immune system. Essential oils are also known to have strong influence on memory, mood and emotion by affecting the limbic system.
The Raindrop technique itself was developed almost 20 years ago from the research of D.Gary Young, originally a farmer and Wallace Black Elk, a Lakota medicine man.

Benefits

  • Scoliosis sufferers
  • Kyphosis sufferers
  • Releases blocked energy without hard pressure forcing the body
  • The effects of Raindrop Therapy continue for up to five to seven days after treatment with continued structural and electrical alignment occurring during that time

Thermal Ear Candle

heavenly holistic imageA Hopi ear candle is actually a cotton tube, impregnated with beeswax, honey and therapeutic oils that are painlessly inserted into the ear to draw out impurities, relieve pressure in the head and sinuses and aid hearing problems.
The candles are made from natural ingredients that include sage, St John's wort, chamomile and beta-carotene. Otherwise known as thermo-auricular therapy, the original source of the technique seems to be from medical ceremonies performed by the Native American Indian tribe called the Hopis (meaning 'peaceful people').

How does it work?

When lit, the ear candle generates a gentle heat which, when combined with the therapeutic oils, produces a light suction action. This is known as the chimney principle, and works by drawing impurities gently to the surface, where they can be removed.
Most deposits evaporate and are carried away through the candle 'chimney', but some are found in the condensed candle wax residue after it is removed from the ear. None of the candle residue actually goes into the ear.

Benefits

  • Treatment of balance and inner ear problems
  • Helps with build up of wax
  • Aids tinnitus sufferers
  • Helps with hearing difficulties and sinus problems as well as colds, 'flu, sore throats, stress, headaches and migraines
  • The treatment is suitable for children and is a good alternative for people who have found syringing uncomfortable

Chakra & Aura Balancing

heavenly holistic image Chakra is defined as an energy centre within the body. While there are over 200 known chakras in the body, there are 7 major chakras. These 7 energy centres are located along the central canal that follows the spine in the physical body. During normal activity, energy flows through these centres. Each centre has a vibration, musical tone, crystal and colour that correspond to the centre.

How does it work?

The chakras are able to receive and transmit social, sexual, and spiritual energy. The chakras have been described as spinning vortexes, with the crown connecting to the heavens and the root to the earth.

Benefits

Through guided mediation, one can open the energy centres to maximize the flow, bringing peace and harmony to the body. Daily pressure from careers and relationships can pose undue stress to the body, causing many different problems.
